ABOUT THE NETWORK
The Rede de Inovação Florianópolis, a partnership between the Florianópolis City Government (PMF) and the Santa Catarina Technology Association (ACATE), is a pioneering initiative in the country. Five innovation centers have been accredited to the Network with the goal of fostering a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship, activating the innovation ecosystem, and generating and scaling innovative businesses in the city of Florianópolis.
The innovation habitats that make up Florianópolis’s Municipal Network of Innovation Centers exist to fulfill essential functions established under municipal and state innovation policies, such as training in ST&I (science, technology, and innovation), technology and innovation events and hackathons, increased access to investors, and attracting businesses to the city.
